Francis William "Frank" Finney

Francis W. “Frank” Finney, age 80, of Westford, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Care Dimensions Hospice in Lincoln after a brief illness. Frank was born in Lexington on January 16, 1938 son of the late Charles A. and Helena C. (Wezewich) Finney.


Frank grew up in Lexington where he attended the local schools, and later graduated from Arlington High School. Following high school, Frank owned and operated Frank’s Texaco on Great Road in Littleton for many years. Frank also worked at Pontiac Village in Boston as a Parts Manager, until the business closed in 1969. Frank then went on to work at New England Toyota as the General Parts Manager. Utilizing his prior work experience, Frank ultimately went on to run Central Collision Center in Ayer for over 45 years, establishing a reputation for high-quality auto body repair services.


Frank was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish in Westford. He also served as an Advisory Committee Member for the Nashoba Valley Technical High School for over five years. Frank was a member of the National Packard Association, in addition to being a member of North Atlantic Packards, of which he served as Treasurer. Frank will be remembered as an avid car collector and enthusiast, a knowledgeable businessman, a devoted husband, and a loving father and grandfather.



Frank is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce E. Finney. Frank is also survived by his children, Francis W. Finney Jr. and wife Piyachat of Bangkok, Thailand, Charles M. Finney of Ayer, MA, Brian Scott Finney and wife Eugenia of Pelham, NH and Jennifer Lynne Lamonakis and husband Christopher of Brookline, NH. Frank was the loving grandfather to Elena, Brian, Trevor, and Elise Finney, as well as Braeden and Londyn Lamonakis. Frank is also survived by his poodle, Rusty. Frank was predeceased by his sister, Lois Berry and brother, Charles A. “Al” Finney Jr.

Relatives and friends kindly invited. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 31 at 10 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford.
