Born May 26, 1951 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua N.H. to Wesley and Charlene (Armstrong) Young. He leaves behind his loving and grief stricken family Aug 1, 2019, two days after the passing of his mother.
He lived in Pepperell all his life and worked as a painter in and around Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Gary spent the last twenty years caring for and assisting his mother Charlene, after the passing of his father Wes. He spent a great deal of time with his brother Gregg Young of New Boston, N.H. working together on many projects and enjoyed his Wednesday night visits with his brother Bob where they would sit with their mother and watch a Redsox or Celtics game. Gary was good to his family and neighbours and was always quick to lend a hand if they needed him. In his youth he received his insignia as a Life Scout, the rank immediately below Eagle, by the Pepperell Boy Scout Troop 26 at the Town Hall, June 22,1966.
He leaves behind his two brothers Gregg and his wife Lynne Young and their daughter Hailee of New Boston, Robert and Donna Young of Pepperell and a sister Gail (Young) and her husband Robert Pitarys his nephews and nieces and their families include; Robert his two sons Michael and his daughter Everly Young and Zachary Young, Keith and his wife Trisha and his three children Daniel, Amanda and Timothy Young, Ronnie and his wife Nicole his children Jacob and Avery Young, Scott Pitarys and his partner Dawn Bellino and her grand daughter Natalia Bellino(Madison), Brent Pitarys and his wife Michele and their children Ashley Pitarys, Brooke (O’Neill) Solazzo, Ella O’Neill-Pitarys and Ava O’Neill-Pitarys, Tracy (Pitarys) and Donald Desrosiers their children Robert Woods, Katelyn Tilbe (Woods) her husband Justin and daughter Aubree.

Young – of Pepperell, Gary K. Young of Pepperell passed away August 1, 2019 at the age of 68. Preceded in death by his mother Charlene, on July 30, 2019. Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 6, 2019 in the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA. Visitation will be held from 10 AM-12 PM followed by a funeral service at noon. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment will be private.
