Gerard Joseph Levesque

Gerard Joseph Levesque, 75, of Pepperell, MA passed away on June 21, 2018.  Gerard “Jerry” is the beloved husband of Susan M. Levesque.  Jerry was born in Lac Baker, New Brunswick, Canada on August 1, 1942, son of the late Albenie and Irma (Tardif) Levesque.  He is the brother of Claude (Clara) Levesque, Lucille (Elie) Caron, Gaston “Pit” (Lucienne - Lulu) Levesque and Robert Levesque.  He leaves behind 10 grandchildren as well as his 5 great grandchildren.  Jerry also has a large extended family.  He was preceded in death by his brothers Guy and Clarence Levesque and his grandson, Ryan S. Levesque.

Besides his wife of 53 years, Jerry is greatly loved by his children Thomas (Kim) Levesque of Merrimack, NH, Michael (Lori) Levesque of Pepperell, MA, Paul (Robin) Levesque of Nashua, NH, and Chad (Gina) Levesque of Madison, WI.

Jerry came to Hartford, CT in 1959 and later met his “wife to be” at the Aetna. From there, he found a career in the drywall industry in MA. Sue and Jerry were married in 1965 and Jerry was naturalized as a US citizen in 1968. In the late 1970’s he established G. L. & S. Construction, Inc., which he ran successfully for over 30 years. Jerry never retired and kept working at what he loved. He and Sue moved from their long-time home in Nashua, NH to Lyndeborough, NH for the next 32 years until moving to Pepperell, MA in 2016. Jerry most loved to spend time with his family, sharing his skills in gardening, woodworking, maple sugaring (with wine, nuts, candy, etc.), rug braiding, cooking, baking, reading, refinishing old houses, and his love for the Bruins, Patriots and the Red Sox. Jerry is well remembered as the kind of man everyone wanted to work for and be around. His love of life and continued desire to learn is hard to match by anyone’s standards. Even at 75 years old, he kept the ability, thirst and drive to continue with his many “hobbies” and had a long list of projects in mind. He touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
