Howard John Cannon

Howard  J. Cannon, of Cambridge and longtime resident of Belmont  passed away on May 2, 2017 at the age of 91.

He was born on March 27, 1926 in Charlotte North Carolina to the late Howard H. Cannon and Irene (Hartman) Cannon.

He is survived by his wife Mary Patricia (Hennessey) Cannon of Still River , his daughter Rosemary Crisostamo and her husband John of Salem, NH his son Jerome Cannon and his wife Gail of Reading. He was also the proud grandfather of Bonnie Cannon, Gina Crisostamo and Johnny Crisostamo and uncle of Sherry Human of Gastonia North Carolina.

He is predeceased by his brother Donald Cannon of Greensboro North Carolina.

Howard was an English Major at Harvard University and received a Master of Theology Degree from Boston College. He worked over 40 years teaching at St. Benedict Abbey in Still River, MA and St. Scholastica Priory in Petersham, MA. A visitation will take place Sunday 5-8 PM at St. Benedict Abbey 252 Still River Rd. (Still River) Harvard a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday 10:30 AM at the Chapel of St. Benedict Abbey.
