Karleen Adele Sabatino

Karleen A (Rich) Sabatino of Dunstable, MA entered into eternal peace on February 5, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born in Arlington, MA to the late Albert Merton and Lillian (Hiltz) Rich on May 6, 1928. Karleen was the beloved Wife of the late Ralph J Sabatino and is predeceased by brothers Warren M. Kenneth and Karl Rich.

Karleen lived for her family and was the epitome of sacrificial love and is survived by her children, Susan and husband Bud Makevich, Gail and husband Norman Jefferson, Ralph Douglas Sabatino and wife Patricia, Adele and husband Herbert Bittner. Karleen is also survived by her Grandchildren, April Pieper, Donna Bratton, Richard Montbleau, Melissa Wolfram, Peter Wyman,  Emily Burkart, James Sabatino, Shane Cassidy, Laura and Gwen Bittner and great grandchildren, Bella and Aiden Montbleau and Lucas Bratton and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Karleen was a life-long active member in the community and Dunstable Congregational Church as a Mission Board member and Treasurer. She was involved in the VFW as a Secretary for the Yankee Division. She spent many years volunteering at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center.

She had many hobbies including rug braiding, furniture restoration, knitting and crocheting. She was a Brownie Leader for many years. An active Alumni Member of the Rich Family Register and strong supporter of the MSPCA.

Visiting hours February 8, 2018, Thursday 5-8 PM at the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113), Pepperell MA. Karleen will be buried at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA alongside her late husband. The burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.
