Matthew Lee Donovan Sr.

Matthew Lee Donovan Sr. born November 6, 1985 left us on May 14th at the age of 32.


An Iraq War veteran, he leaves behind his beloved son, Matthew Lee Donovan Jr. at age 11 and his mother Heather LeBlanc. He is survived by parents Laurie Melendy and her husband Frank Melendy of Pepperell, MA. His father Anthony Donovan of Derry NH, his three brothers, Andrew and his wife Sarika of Leominster, Nicholas Donovan of Pepperell, and David (D.J.) and his wife Stacey of Manchester NH, and grandmother Barbara Reece of Newport, RI, as well as a large extended family. Known as a father, a son, a brother, an uncle and friend. Loved by many and will be missed dearly.


Visiting hours for Matthew will be held on Wednesday, May 23 from 5-8 PM at McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A funeral service for Matthew will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 24 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Association Cemetery, Pepperell, MA.
