Richard T. Hasbrouck

Richard T Hasbrouck, 47, of Pepperell, MA, passed away on Thursday evening December 14, 2017 at Spaulding Rehab in Cambridge, MA after an epic 14-month battle to recover from a stroke.

On the morning of his 21st wedding anniversary, Rich gathered his family to let everyone know that he had found peace, and was ready to terminate his care.  He spent his last several hours comforting the family gathered along his bedside, doing his best to reassure and express his unwavering love and pride in them.

Rich was born in Medford, MA on November 16, 1970 to his parents Judith and Timothy Hasbrouck.  He was raised in Billerica, MA,  Graduating Class of 1988, going on to receive a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Lowell.  He worked as a Lieutenant at MCI Concord.   In his spare time he enjoyed skiing, coaching, caring for his animals, and spending time with friends and family.

Rich has carried many titles: Son, Grandson, Brother, Uncle, Neighbor, Friend, Wheezy, Husband, Nephew, Coach, and Lieutenant - his favorite title being Dad!   This title extended beyond his own children, to many of their friends, through his unconditional love and support.

Rich is predeceased by his Father, Timothy Hasbrouck. He is survived by his Wife, Tara (Foley) Hasbrouck, their children, Jordan and Devin, Mother Judith Hasbrouck; sister Amy Mancini, Paul Mancini and their sons Nico and Antonio; brother Mark Hasbrouck, his wife Cynthia and their son Elliott; Mother-in-Law Mary Foley; cousins, aunts and uncles.

His family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped and supported them over the last 14 months.  We are truly moved by the outpouring of affection.

Most of all we thank you for the many friendships and experiences that shaped Rich’s Unforgettable Smile!

Visiting hours for Richard will take place on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 4-7PM at the McGAFFIGAN Funeral Home, 37 Main St (Route 113) Pepperell, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10AM at Our Lady of Grace Parish, worshipping at St. Joseph's Church, located at 28 Tarbell St., Pepperell, MA.
