Alfred James Ryder

Alfred James Ryder peacefully passed away Monday, May 30th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Alfred was born March 19,1932  in Lowell, MA,son of the late Herbert and Esther (Powers) Ryder. Alfred served in the United States Navy and then raised a family of 5 in Westford, MA. He was the beloved husband of Theresa Poirier Ryder with whom he had shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. In addition to his wife he is survived by their children Bruce Ryder and wife Kimberly of Westford, Timothy Ryder and wife Gerianne of Florida, Melinda Zitta and husband Robert of Townsend, Cindy Schoorens and husband Michael of Pepperell, and Tammy Kasidakos of Townsend; 9 grandchildren Jessica Schoorens, Sarah and Eric Penniman, Nicolas Kasidakos, Dimitri Kasidakos, Kate VanVeen, Danny Ryder, Cody Ryder and Alyssa Ryder.; 2 great- grandchildren Nolan and Bridget whom he cherished with all his heart.Alfred's family would like to thank Circle Home Health Hospice especially Susan Proulx.Per Alfred's wishes a private memorial is being planned for a later date.
