She grew up in Fitchburg where she graduated from Fitchburg High School and then worked at Mathieu’s Chevrolet as a secretary. Ann married the love of her life, John P. Walsh, on September 22, 1962.
Ann loved the town of Groton where she lived for over 60 years. In her retirement she loved being part of the Women’s Club where she was treasurer and only gave up the position a few months ago. She was also a former member of the Groton Red Hat Society and enjoyed their many outings and adventures. At one time she was a member of the Groton Historical Society and would give tours at the Boutwell House. She was well versed in the history of the town where she made her home. Ann enjoyed her bi-weekly game nights with her friends playing Mexican Train and playing cards with her family. Ann was always sitting at the kitchen table looking out over Hemlock Park Drive drinking her coffee or doing a puzzle.
Ann is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Dwyer) and her husband Michael of Shrewsbury, and her son Matthew Walsh and his wife Tryna of Pepperell. She greatly loved her 3 grandchildren: Kristine Fox and her husband Chad, Bridget and Liam Dwyer and her 2 great-grandchildren: Harper and Claire Fox.
