Cecile Marie (Milot) Couture

Cecile Marie (Milot) Couture, age 93, of Pepperell, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025 at home surrounded by family. Cecile was born on December 12, 1931 in West Concord, MA, daughter of the late Joseph Lucien and Marie Herminie Victoria (Aupry) Milot.

Cecile spent her early years in Concord before moving to Pepperell, where her family purchased a farm on Oak Hill Street. In addition to the family farm, Cecile worked for Bemis Bag Company then NEBS for many years as a print press operator.

Cecile enjoyed sewing, crocheting, puzzles, and spending time at the Pepperell Senior Center. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Pepperell.

Cecile was the beloved wife of the late Henry W. Couture. Together, they raised four children: Paul H. Couture and wife Eileen of New Ipswich, NH; Brenda Stone and late husband Kevin of Hollis, NH; the late Steven M. Couture of Brookline, NH; and Therese Couture of Michigan. She was the grandmother of Alex & Derek Couture, Julie Hill, Mike Wadding, Michelle Spence, and Crystal Houle-Courey. She is survived by her siblings, Madeleine, Marie, and Helene, and predeceased by siblings Paul, Therese, Aurice, Claire, and Lucy.

Family members gathered privately for Cecile’s burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pepperell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
