Colin A. "Lucky" Howie died at Sunday at the Apple Valley center in Ayer. He was born in Somerville, Ma. April 7, 1927 son of the late Archibald and Elizabeth (Albino) Howie. A veteran of WWII he served in the United States Navy. Employed in the News Paper industry for many years he had been employed at the Boston Globe as a Stereotyper, And most recently had been employed with East Point Properties at the Pepperell Meadows as the onsite manager. He is survived by his wife Phyllis "Penny" S. (Gould) Howie of Pepperell a son Christopher Howie and his wife Lisa of Rockland,Ma. and daughter Colleen Guidi of Maine 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren a brother Donald Howie of Plymouth,Ma. and 5 step children and Linda, Paul, David, Amy and Mari. He was predeceased by his late wife Dorothea Aherne and sister the late Audrey Zanoli. Funeral Services will be private. For those who wish in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
