Corey R. Lewis

Corey R. Lewis, 24, of Pepperell MA, passed away at home on January 12, 2016. He was born February 28, 1991 in Dallas, TX to Craig and Michelle Lewis. He attended and graduated North Middlesex Regional High School in 2009. He was a Senior Captain of the football team, and was a member of the MWIL All-star team. Corey was also awarded the Outstanding Defensive Lineman award and the Coach's Senior Award, both during his senior year in 2008. He was also an MIAA All-star and a four year member of the baseball team.

Corey volunteered his time in Louisiana during the weeks following hurricane Katrina and helped clean and rebuild. He was a member of the annual Ayva's Ride, which benefited the Make a Wish Foundation of MA and RI. Corey participated in the annual Relay for Life walks hosted at North Middlesex Regional High School. Corey loved to ride his dirt bike with his friends on the trails along the Nashua River. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle on the back roads of town. Corey was a charismatic and ambitious person, whose energy and smile inspired everyone.

Corey is survived by his parents Craig and Michelle, his sisters Brittany and Taylor, and his nephews Jaxson and Lucas. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Norman and Elizabeth Duquette of West Hartford, CT, and his paternal grandparents, John and Joan Finitsis of Foxboro, MA. He is also survived by his Aunt Barbara Coe, and his uncles and their wives, Marc and Robin Duquette, David and Suzanne Duquette, Stephen Duquette, and Marianne Trapasso, and Judi Duquette, widow of Paul Duquette. Corey also leaves behind many cousins, relatives, and friends.
