Cynthia Marie (Martin) Heisler, resident of Pepperell MA, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2018 at Nashoba Valley Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 58 years old. Cindy grew up in Acton, MA with her five siblings: Billy Martin, Kevin Martin, Rusty Martin, Lisa Denoncourt and David Martin and parents William and Barbara Martin. She will be sadly missed by her loving family including her three children Jessica Gesner, Joshua Progen and Rebecca Heisler, as well as her two granddaughters, Arielle and Allie Gesner. She was predeceased by her Father, William Martin.
She graduated from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, married, and started a family, but enjoyed remaining a part of service to the public-school system by working as a high school cafeteria Manager and later as a special-needs bus driver. She was a kind and caring soul who loved working with children. Cindy loved the beach in the warm sunshine and could spend the entirety of a summer heading to Rye to soak up the immense beauty of the Ocean. She was equally at peace at a campground with her dear friend David Hillis, or on slow rainy days letting the time pass by coloring vibrant pictures. In tough times, Cindy always kept her head up truly believing in the saying “Everything happens for a reason,” and this continues to live on within her family.
A Memorial Service will be held for Cindy on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11 AM at Grace Baptist Church, 42 River Rd. Pepperell, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a charitable donation to The COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce De Leon Blvd, Miami, FL 33134. Arrangements by McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, Pepperell, MA.
