Plainville, MA – David Michael Pyrcz-Sugars, age 53, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a courageous 7-month battle with lung cancer.  David, was the beloved partner and husband, for 28 years, of John C. Sugars with whom he would have celebrated their first year of marriage on June 21 of this year.  He was the most loving father of Rachelle Kelly Fisher (and her husband, Martin) of Norfolk, MA, Timothy John of Plymouth, MA, Eric Williams of Plymouth, MA, and Jeanette Autumn of Plainville, MA.

David was born in Lowell, MA on January 28, 1963, the beloved son of John A. Pyrcz of Lowell; Patricia (Burke) Buckjune and his loving step-father, Peter Buckjune of Pepperell.  He grew up in Billerica, MA and later graduated from college in Butler, NJ.  Prior to his illness, David was employed as a Property Manager and Real Estate Agent with Northeast Realty located in Millis.  In prior years, he was employed as a Client Services Group Manager at both Boston Financial Data Services, in Quincy, and New York Life Investment Management, in Norwood.

David also leaves his sister, Deborah (Pyrcz) Ramsden of Quincy, his brother, Paul Pyrcz of Lowell, his sister, Lisa Pyrcz of Florida, his grandmother, Dorothy Pyrcz of Florida, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and two of his best friends of many years, Johnny Low and Robert Bevilacqua.  David was predeceased by his two brothers, John J. Pyrcz and James R. Hawxwell and his beloved Granddad and mentor, Joseph W. Burke of Billerica.

The family would like to express especially deep gratitude to the staffs of 8 North Oncology, MICU, Palliative Care and Hospice at Tufts Medical Center for their excellent care, compassion and kindness

.At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on July 22, 2016 at Emmanuel Church, 15 Newbury St. Boston, 02116. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Grace Parish, worshiping at St. Joseph Church, 28 Tarbell St., Pepperell, MA.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David’s name to “Together We Rise: Foster Care Support” at www.justgive.org/PyrczSugars .  To leave online condolences, a story or message, visit www.mcgaffiganfuneral.com
