Dorothy E. Hills died of natural causes on September 22,2015 at the Nashoba Park Assisted Living Community in Ayer. Born in Northfield, NH on June 7, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Willis Abbott and Hazel Davis Abbott. Dorothy graduated from the Tilton-Northfield High School in 1945. She received her nursing degree from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in 1948 and went on to work as a private duty nurse. She was also employed by two local companies, Bemis Bag and New England Business Service for many years.
Dorothy lived in Pepperell for over 60 years. She was married for 22 years to M. Wesley Call until his death in 1970. In 1980 Dorothy married Leland Hills. They were married for 26 years until his death in 2006.
Dorothy is survived by her son Barry Call and his wife Cheralyn of Fitchburg, MA; her daughters Kathy Morin and her husband Adrian of Loveland, CO; and Anne Moorehouse and her husband Robert of Holland, VT. She is also survived by her brother Robert of Atlanta, GA and four stepsons: Irving Hills of Pepperell, MA; Oscar Hills of New Ipswich, NH; Lee Hills of Pepperell, MA; and John Hills of Hollis, NH as well as 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her three brothers Richard Abbott, Donald Abbott, and Bernard Abbott.
