Forrest Irons

Forrest William Irons, age 83, from Pepperell, MA passed away on May 23, 2026 after battling a long illness. Forrest was born May 24, 1943 in Chelsea, MA. He attended Billerica High School and was a welder for W.R. Grace where he worked until his retirement. He met Sheila during high school, later they married and raised a family. He enjoyed tinkering and working in the yard or in his garden. He loved dogs and was always available to help a friend. 

He was the son of William R. and Muriel Irons, husband to the late Sheila Irons and father to the late Leslie Spoth. He is survived by his son Keith Irons and his wife Erin, his son in-law Edward Spoth. also eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren who he adored, and they called him Pop Pop. 

Visiting hours will be held at McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113)  Pepperell, MA  on Tuesday, June 2nd from 4-7pm. A graveside ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd at 10:00 am at the Park Street Cemetery, Pepperell. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Veterans Administration or the Humane Society.
