In his 26 years with Digital Equipment, Gene worked in many Digital locations and groups with his last role as a Product Manager. After Digital he worked for several other high-tech companies before he retired in 2005.

Gene was a person of many interests. Gene enjoyed traveling both professionally and personally. He traveled many times to visit his relatives and friends in Italy and very much loved the culture, food and beauty of Italy.

Gene enjoyed cooking, treating guests in his home to a hot cup of cappuccino and pastry and socializing. Gene and his late, good friend, John Saarinen often travelled widely to explore a new grocery store, a farmer’s market or to try a new place for lunch. He loved listening to opera and classical music, playing golf, gardening, playing chess and catching up on the news of the day on his I-pad.

Gene spent considerable time at St. Benedict Abbey in Harvard, MA. He often stopped in after work for Lauds, Vespers and attended the Latin Mass on Sundays. After Sunday Mass he very much enjoyed conversation and spending time with the priests and brothers.

Gene was a man of faith and deep devotion. He loved his family very much. Gene was very relatable and was able to find common ground with everyone he met. He was a loving husband and a wonderful brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He will be forever missed.
