Helen "Betsy" Norstrom Babin

Helen "Betsy" (Norstrom) Babin, 90, of Groton, passed away at home on March 30, 2016 after a brief period of failing health. Born in Groton, Massachusetts, February 14,1926 Daughter of the late Charles O. Norstrom and Luella A. (Beebe)Norstrom of Groton, MA. She was a graduate of Groton High School and resided in Groton her entire life.
She is survived by her brother John R. "Dick" Norstrom and his wife Mary Lou Croteau of West Groton, MA. Two sons, Stephen L. Babin and his wife Judith V. (Pothier) Babin of West Groton, MA David R. Babin and his wife Robin (Durling) Babin of New Ipswich, NH. One Daughter, Debra D. (Babin) Jefferson and her husband Clarence E. Jefferson, of Groton, MA, Three grandaughters, Tracy (Babin) Lamore, Michelle (Babin) Robichaud and Emily M. Babin. Three great grandchildren, Robert Robichaud, Ryan Robichaud, Abigail Munn and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Willard C. Norstrom of Ayer, MA-Dana Norstrom of Pepperell, MA-Robert Norstrom of Groton, MA, and sister, Charlotte L. (Norstrom) Peterson of West Groton, MA.
She was retired from New England Business Service (Deluxe), prior to working at NEBS she enjoyed her work as a "Lunch Lady" at Tarbell School, she was an active member at the Christian Union Church in West Groton and The Ladies Aid Society.
She enjoyed spending time with her family the most and she always had the coffee pot ready with a plate of her famous Ginger Cookies or Congo Bars. She was a willing helping hand at numerous church events.
