Jacqueline Ann Hope

Jacqueline Ann Hope, affectionately known as “Jacqui”, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. At 35, Jacqui’s vibrant spirit left a lasting mark on those who knew her, despite a long and private battle with addiction.

Born on December 18, 1989, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Jacqui was the beloved daughter of Jeannette L. (Pacy) Goodman. Raised in the local area, she attended Ayer-Shirley schools, where she was a member of the cheer team. Jacqui attended the Gateway to College program at Mount Wachusett Community College and later earned her GED.

Jacqui’s creativity and compassion shaped her life. She worked as a chef at the former Gallery 529 and Gallery Café, where she shared her love for cooking and art with others. As a caretaker, she provided steadfast support to neighbors and family. Her artistic flair found expression in painting, drawing, and designing and selling clothing. She dreamed of someday opening an oddity shop and exploring taxidermy. Even amidst personal challenges, Jacqui’s generous heart led her to volunteer at food pantries, notably Ginny’s Helping Hand in Leominster, where she helped uplift those in need. While she faced hard times, those struggles did not define who she was as a person or diminish her ability to find the light in others.

Jacqui is survived by her two children, Evelyn and Jasper Hope; mother, Jeannette L. Goodman, and father, Robert F. Goodman, of Leominster; siblings Daniel Hughes of Concord, Ryan Goodman of Leominster, Emily Goodman of Townsend, Abby Goodman of Leominster; grandmother Brenda Pacy of Littleton; aunt Joleen Perry of Littleton; and a wide circle of extended Pacy family members and friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather David A. Pacy, uncle David D. Pacy, and aunts Jacqueline and Stasha Pacy.

Visiting hours will be held at McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113), Pepperell, MA, on Friday, July 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be private, and burial in Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton, will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jacqui’s honor may be made to Ginny’s Helping Hand, Inc., 52 Mechanic St., Leominster, MA 01453 (www.ginnyshelpinghand.org).

Jacqui’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
