Jacqueline M. (Brown) Wright

Jacqueline M. (Brown) Wright, 91, of Pepperell, MA and longtime resident of Acton, MA, passed away peacefully on March 24th, 2024.

Jacqueline, fondly known as Mimi to family and Jackie to friends, was born to Florence M. (Spring) Brown and Philip A. Brown on April 12th, 1932, in Waltham, MA. Jackie, along with her late brother, Richard A. Brown, originated from meager beginnings. The untimely loss of her father forced Jackie to adapt to change early in life, instilling her character with grit and gratitude. As a young girl, Jackie enjoyed playing basketball at school and roller skating on the weekends with friends. As a young woman, she commenced her professional career as a secretary until she found the love of her life, the late Robert (Bob / Bumpi) C. Wright. As life partners, Jackie and Bob forged a loving family and a successful business as co-owners of Wright’s Exxon in Concord, MA and Main Street Service Centers in West Concord and Maynard, MA. An embodiment of the American Dream, Jackie took immense pleasure in providing her family with the opportunities that were not afforded to her in childhood. She enjoyed travelling with her husband and children on vacations to the tropics, road trips across the U.S., and weekend escapes to summer homes in Cape Cod and Maine. As her family grew, Mimi affectionately took on the roles of grandmother and great grandmother, bringing comfort and love to every important milestone. Easy to please with a hot cup of tea and a slice of lemon meringue pie, Mimi found paradise whenever in the presence of her family.

Jackie is survived by her three children: son Robert Wright & Susan Wright of Maynard, MA, daughter Gayle Lewis & Edward Amadon of Pepperell, MA, and daughter Robin Roche & John Roche of Moultonborough, NH. Further, she is survived by her eight grandchildren: Jenna Smith, Robby Wright, Ashley (Lewis) MacDonald and her husband Brian, Michael Lewis and his wife Heather, Stephen Lewis and his wife Sheilagh, Evan Roche, Brady Roche and his wife Ines, and Trevor Roche. Lastly, Mimi is beloved by her four great grandchildren: Aidan, Lila, Grayson, and McKenna.

Funeral services and burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Acton will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jackie's memory may be made to the Community Hospice House
