Jane Folmsbee Clark passed away September 6, 2022 at her home in Nashua, surrounded by her two daughters and family.
Jane and her twin were born on February 7, 1943 in Berwick, Pennsylvania to Leroy and Martha (Cole) Folmsbee.
Starting at age 12, Jane played the piano for church services. Over the years she was a church organist wherever she lived, most recently at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Jane studied nursing at the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in Reading, Pennsylvania. She has worked as a nurse in hospitals, long term care facilities, and healthcare clinics in various roles including Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing, and Nursing Supervisor.
Jane had a love of writing and attended Temple University, graduating magna cum laude in journalism. She worked as a staff writer at a Philadelphia’s Today’s Spirit and especially enjoyed covering political news.
Whatever Jane did, she put her all in it. In the Navy Wives Club, she held several leadership positions. She was always active in her church including Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, Women’s Ministry, and held several offices over the years.
Jane was an avid gardener. She loved the outdoors especially watching birds and wildlife.
Jane is survived by her husband Bruce Clark, daughters Deborah (John) Rice and Diane Droutman, and stepdaughters Melinda Theide and Brenda (Robert) Blood. She is also survived by grandchildren Hannah (Peter) James, Abby Rice, Daniel Droutman, Marissa Droutman, Amanda Droutman, Sabrina (Patrick) Crory, David Blood (fiancée Erin Whooley) Rebekah Blood, and Ashley (Christopher) Ivinjack, along with eight great-grandchildren, her older sister Robin (Richard) Perilli, her twin sister Joan (Richard) Foster, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Monday, September 12th from 6 to 8 PM and memorial service Tuesday, September 13th at 11 AM at the McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main Street, (Rte. 113) Pepperell, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Health and Hospice of Merrimack, NH or the Norris Cotton Cancer Care Pavilion in Lebanon.
