Janice "Jan" Gendron

Janice Evelyn “Jan” Gendron, age 87, of Groton, formerly of Shirley, passed away at home on December 9, 2025. Jan was born on July 13, 1938 in Shirley, MA, the daughter of the late Henry and Matilda Phoebe (Sidleau) Gendron. Jan is survived by her sister, Adrienne McGrath of Ayer, brother Daniel D. Gendron, of Lunenburg, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five siblings.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 14 Phoenix St., Shirley, MA on Thursday, December 18th at 10 am. Burial will be held in the parish cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jan's memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org).
