Obituary

John J. Navin was born on January 25th, 1955 to John J. Navin Sr. and Hope (Ellis) Navin. John passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026 after a short illness.

John was a 1973 graduate North Middlesex Regional High School.

John worked for many years as an Auto Detailer at numerous dealerships and took pride in his work.

He also was a Truck driver for Lanni Orchards in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, delivering produce before his retirement.

John was a die-hard New England sports fan and loved attending the Pats games for many years.

John is survived by his wife Maura (McGrath) Navin, son Anthony Navin and partner Sabrina Kincade, and sister Carol Navin of Fitchburg; daughter-in-law Phaedra Navin; three grandchildren, Haylie Hope, Juliette Faith and Dominic Paul Navin; three bonus grandchildren, Jaiden, Jaxson and Bexley (Lisa) Kincade. John’s grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he was always bragging about them.

John leaves “favorite” sister-in-law Lisa Coates, and brother in laws Peter Coates and Tracy Funk.

John also leaves many nieces and nephews: Jake Funk, Drew Funk, Sean Coates, Brendan Coates, Karen Benda, Dwayne Lohler, Ashley, Brandy and Scott Benda, and Mark Navin.

John was predeceased by sister Sharon Lohler and “favorite” sister-in-law Susan Funk.

Visiting hours will be held at the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Thursday, May 14th from 5 – 7 pm. Burial will be private.
