John (Sonny) Francis Rondeau, Sr.
It is with deep and heavy sadness that we share the death of our father, John (Sonny) Francis Rondeau, Sr., who passed away peacefully on September 4, 2015 at the New England Home for the Deaf in Danvers, MA. Born on January 19, 1936 in Pepperell where he was a lifelong area resident. He married Beatrice Sally (Marchelletta) Rondeau (1935-2009) in 1959 and had eight children.
John was a tireless and hard worker as an auto-detailer for many years at Gervais Ford in Ayer, MA. When not at work, he could be found working on a variety of projects such as restoring old cars, carpentry, home renovations or simply washing windows at McNabbs Pharmacy. He was an active man that stayed busy until a heart attack in 2005 forced him to slow down.
He is survived by his sons, Albert Rajala and 1SGT John F. Rondeau, Jr. both of Leominster, his daughters Susan Landry of Hickory, NC, Carol Gates of Hollis, NH, and Cynthia Raymond of Alice, TX, his brother, Peter Rondeau of Pepperell, his sisters Ann Morgan of Chatham, MA, Teri Moore of Bowie, MD, Peggy Gillette of Plympton, MA, Penny Batchelder of Ocala, FL, and Lyn Gallant of Pittsboro, NC. He also leaves behind twenty-four grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice and sons, Thomas, Paul and Antonio, his brother Ronald (Skip) Rondeau of Jaffery, NH and his sister, Jacqueline Milroy of Springfield, MA.
