Lorraine M. (Brouillette) Quinn

Lorraine M. “Mopsy” Quinn passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 following a brief illness.  She was born in Somerville on July 27, 1928 the daughter of the late William and Blanche (Vezina) Brouillette.  A long-time resident of Groton, she moved to Pepperell in 1998.

Lorraine was a long-standing member of the Groton Women’s Club and was very proud of her instrumental role in establishing the Town’s Avenue of Flags displays.  She was an active parishioner at the former Sacred Heart Church in Groton and, more recently, Our Lady of Grace in Pepperell.  Affectionately known to her family as Mopsy, Lorraine was fortunate to be blessed with a large family.  She leaves behind her daughters: Debra Metcalf-Morris and her husband Cliff of Lunenburg, MA; Wendy Sutherland and her husband Walter of Winchendon, MA; Sandra Martell and her husband Lenny of Campton, NH; Stacy Carter of Nashua, NH; and, her son James Quinn and his wife Linda of Hampton, NH.   Mopsy is also survived by her six grandchildren: Brooke (Metcalf) Dryden, Chad Sutherland, Todd Sutherland, Quinn Martell, Ren (Martell) Winchester, and Kassie Carter; and her great-grandchildren, Trevor, Kloey, Jameson, June, Justin, Maddisyn and Briahna.   Lorraine was the much-loved sister of Yvonne M. Gaudet of Lexington and Fort Myers, FL, George R. Brouillette of Groton, as well as the late Beatrice A. Hamel of Agawam and Robert W. Brouillette of Scituate. Her extended family also includes many nieces and nephews and a wonderful circle of long-time friends

A Funeral Mass in celebration of her life will be held at Our Lady of Grace Parish worshipping at St. Joseph’s Church 28 Tarbell St. Pepperell on Saturday, November 5th at 11:00 am, followed by interment services at the Groton Cemetery. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours.
