Lydia Falco, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at her home, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous 22-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born in New York City to Walter and Valentina Mantyka, where she spent her early years and developed the strength, resilience, and unmistakable spirit that stayed with her throughout her life. Lydia was a devoted member of the Ukrainian Orthodox faith, which remained an important part of her identity and values.
Lydia held many jobs over the years, but her most important and cherished roles were being a devoted wife to her husband, Vincent, and an incredible mother to her daughters, Teresa and Kathryn. To know Lydia was to love her. Her spitfire personality, unmatched sense of humor, and deeply selfless heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met and will be missed beyond measure.
A lifelong New York Yankees fan—proudly and unapologetically so—Lydia never hid her loyalty. Above all else, nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by family and friends, making memories, laughing loudly, and sharing life together.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Vincent Falco; her daughters, Teresa Falco-Towle and Kathryn Cahill; her sons-in-law, John Towle and Brendan Cahill; her cherished grandson, JJ Towle; and her loving niece, Kristy Rueda.
Lydia was the heart and soul of her family, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled. We vow to keep her spirit alive, to carry her love forward, and to remember her always.
A time of visitation will be held in the McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Saturday, February 14th, from 9 - 11 am. Lydia's Funeral Service will begin at 11 am. A memorial luncheon will follow.
In remembrance, flowers may be arranged through Rose of Sharon in Dunstable, or donations may be made in lieu of flowers to support Pancreatic Cancer research at www.pancan.org.
Memory Eternal.
