Mark Alan Forrest

Mark Alan Forrest, 70, of Pepperell passed away suddenly on May 17th, 2022 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. He was born in Groton on March 6, 1952 son of the late John Joseph and Geraldine Evelyn (Townsend) Forrest.

Mark was a graduate of North Middlesex Regional High School Class of 1970. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Physiology from the University of New Hampshire in 1974 and his master’s Degree from the University of Arizona in 1976.

Mark worked as a high school teacher at Palmetto High School and enjoyed coaching the football team during his time there. In later years, he worked at the Green Meadow pro shop and as a bartender at the Amherst Country Club and Pepperell VFW Post 3291. He was an avid golfer and member of the American Legion in Tyngsborough.

Mark is survived by his wife, Cathy A. (Cross) Forrest of Pepperell, son Kevin Forrest of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, and daughter Tara Forrest of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was the proud grandfather of Nolan and Kate Forrest of California and Andrew Grigas of Nashua, NH. He was predeceased by his sister Pamela Forrest, and stepdaughter, Corinne Grigas.

Graveside Services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 40 Heald Street, Pepperell, MA on Wednesday, May 25th at 11 a.m. Following, all are invited to join with the family at the Franco American Club, 55 West Prescott Street, Westford, MA 01886. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association ( www.heart.org ).
