Martha Florence Paige

Martha Florence (Roberts) Paige passed away at the age of 81, on January 13, 2015, at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Clark W. Paige and they had recently celebrated their 60th anniversary on June 26, 2014. She was born in Vergennes, VT, April 14, 1933, the daughter of the late Wesley and Fredericka (Teelyea) Roberts. She is survived by her husband, Clark, a son Brian, of Southampton, a sister Sally Ann Ryan, of Ayer, four grandsons, four granddaughters and four great grand children. She was predeceased by a son, Clark W. Paige, Jr. in 1998.

She graduated from Ayer High School in 1950, attended American International College in Springfield and ultimately graduated from New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Boston in 1954. She did some nursing, however, most of her life she works as a Medical Secretary for doctors in family practices and surgeons in this area.

She was very active in fraternal organizations. She was a member of Fitchburg Assembly IORG, Past Mother Advisor of Ayer Assembly IORG ,Ida McKinley Chapter # 86,Order of the Eastern Star for over 60 years. She was a Past Matron several times and Secretary for several years. Past Royal Matron of Nashoba Valley Court # 13, Concord, Order of the Amaranth, Past Grand Royal Matron of the Grand Court of Massachusetts Order of the Amaranth, Past High Priestess of Fuad Court # 30, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America.
