Mrs. Mary G. Lunn died Sunday December 22, 2013, at the age of 91, at her daughter's home in Grant, FL. where she spent the winters. She was Born September 9, 1922, in Lockhartville, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late William and Edith (Atwell) Thompson. She spent her early life in Nova Scotia and has been a resident of Pepperell, since 1967. A homemaker and an accomplished fiddle and piano player, she also enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and canning. She loved to visit her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren in FL, NH, VA, and NS, Canada. She loved having tea parties with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was the mother of 12 children. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Lewis I "Dad" Lunn, and two sons, Murray and Gary Lunn. She was survived by her beloved children- Six sons: Lewis L. and wife Joyce Lunn of Pepperell; Cyril and Danny Lunn of Canada; Laurie and wife Susan Lunn of NS, Canada; Dale and wife Anna Lunn of VA; and David Lunn of NH. Four daughters: Esther and husband Tony Kalkman of NS, Canada; Myrna Lunn and husband Dr. Rudolf Bickel of VA; Lorraine and husband Jack Hendry of FL; and Juanita Lunn of FL. She also is survived by 31 grandchildren, 34 great- grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was also predeceased by her five brothers: Emery, John, Thoes, George, Roy Thompson and her four sisters: Elsie Barrett, Lena Thompson, Esther Ells, Laura Hutchinson all of NS, Canada.
