Rebecca "Becca" Lynn Hooper 24, of Townsend, MA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 28, 2022 after a lifelong battle of liver disease. Becca was always a positive spirit and looked on the bright side of all circumstances. Despite many years of adversity and illness, Becca was always compassionate, and caring. Oftentimes, caring more for others than for herself. In recent months, Becca was given the gift of hope through a perfect match liver transplant. She and all of her family and friends were so excited for the opportunity this presented. Despite Becca's courageous attitude and will to keep fighting, she succumbed to the stressors of the surgery.
Born on March 21, 1998, Becca grew up in Easton, MA and was born a people person who loved to make people laugh. Her quick wit and laugh was always infectious and undeniably lovable. An amazing daughter, sister, and friend to all. Becca was always entertaining those around her and impacting them in the most positive, genuine way. Becca was a faithful member of the Jehovah's Witness congregation in Taunton and Pepperell, MA. She had an immense impact on the children she worked with at Family Tree as a teachers assistant. A true caretaker at heart, she was always the first to jump in to help in any way she could. Prior to her time at Family Tree, Becca enjoyed many years at the Gateway Program where she built strong relationships and learned many skills. She valued her time at the Gateway Program and the experiences she had here were truly life changing. It brings her family comfort to know that Becca will continue to help others as she too, was an organ donor. Her endless kindness and thoughtfulness will always be remembered and admired.
Rebecca leaves behind devoted and loving parents Richard A. Hooper Jr., and Kathryn J. Hooper who always showed their unconditional support and provided limitless care. She is also survived by her best friend and sister, Julia K. (Hooper) Mendoza and her husband Johnathon. Becca spent her entire life alongside Julia looking up to her as a role model and truest companion, enjoying many nights playing Fortnite. She also leaves behind grandparents, Marcia D. Coutu, Richard A. Hooper Sr., and Christina D. Hooper who adored her. In addition, she leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and two nephews who she cherished, Jaxen R. Mendoza, and Jonah R. Mendoza.
Relatives and friends will gather for visiting hours in the McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Saturday, April 2nd from 3 – 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Rebecca's memory to www.JW.org.
