Robert Leigh Stone

Robert Leigh Stone, age 82, died on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.

Robert was born in Whitefield, NH, on January 18, 1932. Son of the late Willard Chester Stone and Bertha May (Hanson) Stone.

He was a graduate of Pepperell High School, Class of 1950. He attended Boston University. He worked at the First National Stores for 38 years and Market Basket for 15 years. He was also a Merchandiser for Buckley, Thorne and Messina.

Robert is one of the ten original members of the "Gate City Striders". He also was co-Founder of the Santa Run.

Robert is survived by his wife Susan (Bonefant) Stone of Nashua; daughter Judith Ouelette and husband Mark; step daughter Cynthia Bonefant and stepson Jeffrey Bonefant, both of Nashua; sisters Shirley and brother-in-law Francis Egan of Chelmsford, MA, and Bette Ippolito of Exeter, NH.

As well as a sister-in-law Gail Stone of Tewksbury he was predeceased by his brother Phillip Stone .
