With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Timothy P. Jonas on July 15, 2025. He was born on October 25, 1960, son of the late Stephen A. Jr. and Patricia (McHugh) Jonas, Timothy left this world in 2025 at the age of 64, leaving behind cherished memories among family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Timothy’s journey began in 1960, a year shaped by profound change and growth. Through his six decades, he touched countless lives with his acerbic wit and insights.

A source of immense pride for Timothy was his distinguished service in the United States Marine Corps. Over the course of a dedicated career, he attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (LtCol), an accomplishment that exemplified his commitment, leadership, and sense of duty. Timothy’s years as a Marine shaped his character and forged lifelong bonds with fellow servicemembers.

A longtime resident of New England, Timothy made his home in Nashua, New Hampshire, and valued his time in Pepperell, Massachusetts. He was known in his community for his sense of responsibility, his willingness to help others, and his devotion to those he loved. Timothy’s guidance and support enriched the lives of friends, neighbors, and family alike.

Timothy is survived by loving family members, wife Lisa, daughter Natia Macor and husband Nick of Jersey City, NJ, son Nicholas and wife Shelby of Denver, CO, and sister Stephenie Jonas Sullivan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Jan T. Jonas of Pennsylvania. 

A celebration of Timothy’s life will be arranged as per family wishes. Visiting hours will be held Monday, July 28th from 6 – 8 pm at McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main St. (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA. A Catholic Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 29th at 10 am at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W Hollis St., Nashua, NH . Those wishing to honor his memory are welcome to attend and encouraged to keep his spirit alive through kindness, generosity, service, and dedication to community.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation (www.t2t.org) or to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org)

May Lieutenant Colonel Timothy P. Jonas rest in peace, and may his memory remain a blessing to all who knew him.
