Tino Nicholas Currao

Mar 12, 1981 — Oct 15, 2026

Pepperell, Massachusetts

Tino Nicholas Currao, 45, resident of Pepperell, MA, left sadness in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him. He passed away suddenly surrounded by the people he loved most, holding his hand and loving him till the end.

Tino leaves behind his wife, Michelle, and his son, Mason; his mother, Vincenza Currao; his sisters, Josephine, Anna, and Joanna Currao of Methuen, MA; and his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind a close-knit group of friends and "honorary nieces” who will forever miss the friendship, the jokes, and love he gave them, even if he was telling them it was a bad idea.

Tino attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell and went on to build his career at Oxford Global Resources and then BAE Systems, where he was a valued member of his team. His quiet nature, dependability, and genuine character made him well-liked by his colleagues. Just as he was in his personal life, Tino was someone people appreciated and enjoyed working alongside.

Tino’s love for his family was reflected in the way he cared, the way he showed up, and the quiet strength he brought to the lives of those closest to him. The time he spent with Mason, especially their fishing trips together, created memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. Their scores on the spiderman game at Dave & Busters will be legendary. His niece Gabby was so important to him and being a main person in her life meant the world to him. He was so proud of who she was and was eager to see what the future had for her. He spent lots of time being the handyman and the repairman for his sisters Pina and Anna, but was always rewarded with his favorite rice balls.

Some of Tino’s happiest moments were found in the simple things. He loved reading on his Kindle, spending time fishing with his son, and sharing inappropriate humor with his niece. He had a special love for Disney and Universal, which were his happy places. He was all ready for a great football season but sadly passed thinking the Patriots were on a losing streak. He was becoming quite the cook and loved making homemade banana bread and quesadillas. He had perfected his homemade matcha and had finally gotten his calzone dough just right.

Tino was a quiet and reserved personality, but beneath that calm exterior was a fierce loyalty and a heart full of love. He was the kind of person you could always count on — someone who would offer honest advice, a listening ear, or a shoulder to lean on when life got hard. He was a genuinely good person, a compassionate soul, and the kind of husband, dad, brother, uncle or friend everyone hopes to have.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 30th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main Street (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA. Flowers will be gratefully accepted. Burial will be private.

He was loved more than he may have ever realized, and he will be missed more than words can say. Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave and memories he created will always be in our hearts - never forgotten.
