Amanda Theresa Blowers

“Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more”

- The Beatles “In My Life”

Amanda Theresa Blowers was never destined to follow the rules. She was always intent on following her own path. A talented artist and musician, and forever lover of animals, Amanda wrote a life story filled with passion and exhilaration. It is her hope that the stories she left behind will carry her animated spirit into the future.

Amanda was born in Malden, Massachusetts on May 21, 1989 to Kathleen M. Blowers (Gaff) and James R. Blowers. She passed peacefully with her sister, Elizabeth, at her side on August 16, 2021. Until her final moments, Amanda was surrounded by music, love and the belief that her life of compassion will carry her forward to her next adventure.

Amanda will be remembered by many, including her partner, Deshon Gates, and their doting cat Meow-Meow. Should you think of Amanda, please share memories of her constant laughter, strong will power and even stronger stubbornness. We are all better for having known her and our desire is that her strength brings people from the darkness to the light, forevermore.

A celebration of Amanda’s life and visitation with her family will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main Street (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA from 1-3 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Amanda's family kindly requests that all attendees wear facial coverings. A portion of Amanda’s remains will be interred at the Pepperell Cemetery at a later date, with the remainder beholden to her family and spread in places she loved.

In lieu of flowers, her loved ones ask that you donate to one of the following two causes in Amanda’s name. The first is The Megan House Foundation , a residential treatment home for women struggling with substance abuse in the Greater Lowell area. The second is Young Audiences of Massachusetts (YAMA) , an organization committed to educate, inspire, and empower youth through the arts regardless of backgrounds, talents or abilities. It is our belief that Amanda would love nothing more than to help those in need gain access to the peace she continuously sought.
