Andrew R. Lamy passed away quietly on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Apple Valley Center. He was born in Groton on August 21, 1940 a son of the late Rita and Lionel Lamy.
Andrew spent his whole life in Groton, with a couple short stays in Forge Village, Westford. Andrew was much loved by his family and will be remembered with love. One of Andrew's passions was fishing. Deep sea or in the surrounding ponds and lakes, he loved it all. Andrew took all of his children fishing at one time or another, he taught them to clean, prepare and enjoy their fish together. One of his favorites was the “Pork Barrel”, catching horned pout. We would always come home with a bucket full. Andrew was a “Jack of all trades”. Fixing a car, plumbing or carpentry, he could do it all. In his retirement years he enjoyed traveling with Priscilla and some of his closest friends. One of his favorite spots was Aruba. Andrew was a lifelong member of the Franco-American Club in Westford.
Andrew was predeceased by his loving wife Priscilla, “favorite daughter” Bonnie (as she would say!), his parents Rita and Lionel and his brother Robert.
He leaves behind his children: daughter, Barbara Marr and her fiancé Robbie Begin of Boothbay Harbor. ME; son, Daniel and his wife Elsie of Groton, MA; son, Michael and his wife Tina, of Wolfeboro, NH; daughter, Donna and her husband Howard Carpenter of Wilton, NH. Also survived by one brother, Leo and his wife Jane of Pepperell, MA and two sisters-in-law, Terri Ragot of Groton, MA and Florence Cobleigh of Casselberry, FL. He also leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss their Pépère.
