Craig W. Boettcher

Craig W. Boettcher, age 71, a lifelong Pepperell resident, passed away January 25th, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family following a brief battle with esophageal cancer. Born September 7, 1950, in Ayer, MA he was the son of the late William S. and Dorothy K. (Batchelor) Boettcher.

Craig was a 1969 North Middlesex Regional HS graduate and completed his business degree at Andover Institute of Business. He was very proud of his service in the United States Navy as Quartermaster aboard the U.S.S. Meredith, 1971-1975.

Craig then went to work for Chelmsford Construction where he was mentored by some of the best in the business. He was employed by Kimball Farm Ice Cream for more than 30 years as the Facilities Manager for the Kimball Family where he mentored the young and old in various jobs as he felt it important to ‘pay it forward’.

Craig enjoyed golf, fishing, movies, working at home on Twin Brooks Farm, and had a deep appreciation and curiosity for all things in nature. He loved the family camp at Sunset Lake in Vermont, often sharing an early morning mist over the lake with the loons. He enjoyed the traditions of a beautiful New England family together making Maple Syrup, building bluebird nesting boxes, and playing cards long into the night. Craig was a passionate carpenter and woodworker who took pride in building for future generations.

Craig is survived by his wife of 39 years, Robin (Merrill) Boettcher, his daughters, Katie and Karley Boettcher and their partners, his two sisters, Mary Boettcher and Linda Boettcher Lambert, three grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Craig was preceded by the death of his parents and nephew, Bradford C. Lambert.

There will be no calling hours. A celebration of Craig’s life will be held at a later date.
