Obituary
Daniel T. Murphy, 85, of Pepperell, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at Apple Valley Medical Center after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born on April 15, 1936 son of the late Frances (Downes) and Jeremiah Murphy.
Dan worked at Hollingsworth & Vose for 40 years. He enjoyed NASCAR races, his ‘56 Bel Air, car shows, pizza night with friends and spending time with children. He was the #1 fan of sons Danny and David and grandson Dan Jr. at Hudson Speedway, and was always willing to give a lending hand.
Dan leaves his loving wife of 66 years, Jane (Gosselin) Murphy; four children, Daniel Murphy and wife Pamela (Pillsbury), David Murphy and wife Lorraine (Haskins), Cathy (Murphy) Robertson and husband Robert, Lisa (Murphy) Beard and husband Michael; grandchildren Jessica Lasa, Brandon Robertson, Daniel Murphy Jr., Angela Page, Devan Naples, and Melissa Beard; great-grandchildren Cody Page and AJ Lasa and a sister Katherine Franzek, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dan was predeceased by sisters Loretta Dye and Theresa Comeau.
