David Warren Quimby

PEPPERELL - David W. Quimby of 7 Tucker Street died at home on Wednesday, February 12th, 2020.  Born on July 12, 1944, he was a lifelong resident of Townsend until 2003.

The son of the late Marion and Verne Quimby and brother of the late Richard Quimby, he graduated from North Middlesex High School, attended Nichols College where he earned an Associate Degree, then enlisted in the Air Force where he spent 6 years overseas. He worked in quality control for the electronics industry earning additional degrees as he advanced in his career.  He loved tennis in his early years then became an avid golfer in his later years. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Lona Quimby, his son John Verne Quimby II,  his daughter in-law Kari Quimby, and grandchildren John Verne Quimby III, Elisabeth, Gabrielle, David W. Quimby II, Michael, and Josefine Quimby, all of Virginia; his sister in-law Anne Quimby; his nieces Nancy Quimby Williams and her husband John Williams, Rebecca Marshall Carr and her husband Eric Carr of Washington, and Sherry Robinson Green and her husband, John Green of Florida; and nephews, Ben Williams and Ryan Williams both of Townsend and Raymond Robinson and his wife, Donna Robinson of Pepperell. Also survived by his sister in-law Rosemary Marshall of Groton.
