John Francis Taylor, 73, of Greenville, NH passed away peacefully on Thursday January  12, 2023 following a brief illness.

John was born on March 2, 1949 in Lowell, MA to the late Frederick and Theresa Taylor (Lepine).  He grew up in Lowell with 2 sisters, Nancy and Gail, and a brother, Michael.  John graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1968.

After graduating, John went on to become a correctional officer for 3 years at MCI Concord. After leaving his job at the prison, he went to vocational school to study machining and went on to be a machinist for the next 30+ years until his retirement in 2012 from New Hampshire Ball Bearings in Peterborough, NH.

John enjoyed hunting, fishing, football and cars. He passed along his love for cars and football to his son, Joseph. A subject both would talk about for hours on end! He also enjoyed going on cruises and traveling the country in his post retirement life.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his sister, Gail Taylor, and daughter, Julie Mayfield. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ronald Winch, brother, Michael Taylor, son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Chantelle Taylor, son-in-law Brad Mayfield, and grandchildren, Harrison, Lilah, Brayden, Liberty, and Nicholas.  John also leaves behind his beloved niece and nephews and his lifelong best friend Gus Kowalski.

Visiting hours will be held in the McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Monday, January 23rd from 5 to 8 p.m.
