Kathleen T. (Bowler) Strait, 57, of Pepperell, MA, passed away on December 20, 2020. Kathie was born in Springfield, MA to Timothy E. Bowler and Marie T. Bowler. Kathie is survived by her wonderful husband of 27 years, David B. Strait, and her two children Brian D. Strait and Sarah M. Strait. She is also survived by her siblings Edward T. Bowler, Marianne P. Biron, Richard R. Strange, and her aunt Patricia M. Bowler.
Kathie was a loving and adventurous spirit who was adored by all who knew her. Her greatest joy in life was spending quality time with her family. She enjoyed hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, as well as gardening and feeding her precious bluebirds. Kathie took an annual trip to Lake Dunmore, VT with her family and some of her most treasured friends. She was well known around the neighborhood for her yearly Halloween party. Kathie was famous for her appetizers that she brought to Pre-Thanksgiving get-togethers, spanning over 30 years, with longtime friends. Kathie will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.
She was an active member of Nashoba Conservation Trust as well as Mass Audubon.
Kathie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from UMass Amherst in 1985. She was a Software Engineer for Raytheon for the entirety of her career.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no service held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family has requested donations be made to the Mass Audubon Society in her memory.
