Mary Jane Allen-Bisbee

Mary Jane Allen-Bisbee, age 65, of Pepperell, MA passed away on October 4, 2021.

Mary Jane was born in Canton, MA to Mary Allen (Hayes) and Edward Allen on July 28, 1956. She grew up mostly in Canton and later in Sharon, attending public schools in both towns. Mary Jane followed her dream of becoming a nurse like her grandmother and earned her RN in 1995. She worked as a private duty nurse for many agencies local to the Pepperell area.  Mary Jane married Gary “Doc” Bisbee on June 10, 1995 and has been sharing life with him along with their blended family ever since. Mary Jane (and Doc) loved creatures of all kinds and have had a home filled with cats, dogs, lots of fish and lots of birds over the years. There are many stories of rescued animals, including a few that didn’t work out (a particular cat that was surely possessed) although a bird named “Hiss” did make the cut and still remains. She also loved to garden and spent time on her back porch watching things grow. She loved to watch a beautiful sunset as well.  Her favorite hobby, aside from adopting animals and helping people, was going to yard sales with whomever she could take with her - usually her grandson Dylan. There also may have been a fondness for Angry Birds.

Mary Jane is preceded in death by both her parents, Edward Allen and Mary Hayes, her sister Susan, brothers Gene and Charlie, and most sadly by her baby son Eric who died in 1976.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband Doc Bisbee, son Michael White, his wife Kelly,  sons Joe Bisbee and Matt Bisbee, stepdaughters Lyndsey and Shannon, and grandsons Dylan, Sergio and granddaughter Marley. Also survived by her sisters Kathy Staunton, Grace Kegresse, Joanie Wilson, Patti Allen, Barbara Allen, Jeannine Ciulla, and Geri Pacheco; brothers Eddie Allen, Frankie Allen, Michael Allen, and Kevin Allen. Many nieces and nephews will also miss their Aunt MJ.

As in your favorite song Mary Jane, yes, we will know your name when we see you in Heaven.
