Philip H. Newman of Pepperell, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on March 17, 2023.

Beloved husband of the late Ann (Quinn).  Devoted father of Annmarie Regan, Brian Newman, and the late Francis “Buddy”.  Cherished grandfather of Emily Tremonte and her husband PJ Jefferson.

Dear brother of Paul and his wife Laura, Joe and his wife Bette, Ann Jones, and the late Francis “Buddy”, Jimmy, Jack and his surviving wife Sandra, Eddie and his surviving wife Judy, Catherine “Kay” Porter, and Bobby.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Phil was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp., serving 4-years and receiving the Good Conduct Medal as well as Rifle Sharpshooter Qualification Badge.

He loved to cook and was a proud restaurant owner for a period of time.  In his later years, he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, doing jigsaw puzzles and sharing stories of the many travels throughout his lifetime.

Phil will be laid to rest, along with his wife, Ann, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at a later date.
