Sheila Anne (McLaughlin) Fetterhoff

Sheila Anne (McLaughlin) Fetterhoff of Shirley, MA, formerly Littleton, MA passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on Thursday, July 21, 2022.  Sheila was born in Boston on October 17, 1949 to Virginia Theresa (Robinson) and Robert Patrick McLaughlin, Sr.

Sheila grew up in Medford & Woburn before moving to Littleton with her husband, Donald Bruce Fetterhoff, to raise their four children – Melissa Fetterhoff, David Fetterhoff, Donnie Fetterhoff and Meagan Ackroyd.  While Sheila and Donald divorced, they remained in each other’s lives.

Sheila was an amazing mother and homemaker who enjoyed cooking.  In fact, she hosted all the holiday dinners in the family home. Sheila worked for many years for the Littleton & Westford Schools and loved what she did. In retirement, she enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren.

As a special note, the Fetterhoff Family would also like to recognize the support of the Nashoba Nursing Service & Hospice, who cared for Sheila in the last month of her life.  Also, after countless visits and chemo/radiation treatments, thank you to Nashoba Valley Medical Center & UMass Memorial Health for the relentless adherence to providing compassionate and selfless care. You are making a difference.

Sheila leaves behind her four children: Melissa of Shirley; David of Shirley; Donnie and his wife Anna of Leominster and their children, Jacob & Joshua and daughter Meagan and her husband Dickie of Shirley and their children, Tyler and Morgan.  She leaves her sister Karen Forester, brother Robert and wife Diane McLaughlin Jr., her niece Kristin Roiff, and nephews CJ Forester and Richard McLaughlin as well as many aunts, uncles & cousins.

In addition to her parents, Sheila is predeceased by her grandchildren, Brianna & Zachary Ackroyd and nephew Robert McLaughlin III.

FETTERHOFF – Sheila Anne (McLaughlin) of Shirley, formerly of Littleton. July 21, 2022. Services for Sheila will be held privately. Sheila loved all animals and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter ( www.sterlingshelter.org ).
