Personalization

"A good funeral gets the dead where they need to go and the living where they need to be." - Thomas Lynch, Funeral Director & Writer

Personalization has become an increasingly common theme when planning a meaningful celebration of life. It allows for families and friends to pay homage to the life lived and share the unique story of their loved one. Our family believes that crafting a personalized and meaningful service is a labor of love which honors the life lived and creates healing moments for those involved in the planning process.  Regardless of the type of service you select, it should be a reflection of your loved one’s life that fosters an emotional connection with all those in attendance.

There is really no limit to the options available to commemorate a life lived and to create a lasting and meaningful tribute to someone you love. Some of the many ways in which you can personalize a funeral service includes, but is certainly not limited to:

  • Displaying personal items, such as a military uniform, golf clubs,  gardening tools, photographs,  letters, trophies, certificates, memorabilia, and more

  • Creating a Tribute Video with photographs and video clips to be displayed in the funeral home

  • Having a loved one's motorcycle or vehicle on display at the funeral. In the past we have incorporated fire trucks, police vehicles, motorcycles, horse-drawn carriages and antique cars into the visitation and funeral procession

  • Incorporating fraternal organizations and honor guards into visiting hours and memorial services

  • Playing your loved one's favorite music during the visitation/funeral service

  • Crafting a personalized obituary with favorite memories, stories, and even a bit of levity!

  • Utilizing a funeral celebrant to create a specialized funeral service (To learn more, ask your Funeral Director)

Ultimately, we are here to help plan services in full accordance with the wishes of the bereaved.  The above selections are just some of the many ways in which families can be creative in the way they honor the life of their loved one.
